Hey kamus, I saw that Basman participated in the Rapid tournament of this year's London Chess Classic (I assume he'll play the Blitz, as well?).

Any plans to cover this? I'd love to see more of your Basman videos.

I like the above suggestion.

Great video, cheers.

I'm sure I will- someone already sent me one of his losses- it was a Grob vs Anish Giri. I haven't had a chance to look at it yet but the poster said that Basman generated some chances. Even though Basman is getting a little long in the tooth these days, he never bores. I've been busy with work but have done a fair amount of research and prep for the following videos:

A complete course on the Pseudo-Trompowski (which has been racking up the points for me lately).
A complete reexamination of the St. George- it turns out that theory in that line has progressed and is apparently still viable at the GM level( though it will never rival the Sicilian etc.)
A new Coffeehouse video on the Blackburne-Hartlaub gambit. I actually wasn't that jazzed about this opening after doing a lot of research on it, but then I saw Curtains get blown away 2 games in a row against a lower rated opponent. (Spoiler alert- probably you should decline the gambit even though my research indicates that with best play, White keeps the pawn and an advantage.)
A series of spectacular Julian Hodgson wins. Probably 3 games or so of his.
The epic struggle, Basman-Botvinnik where our hero came within a hair's breadth of smashing the World Champ.
And the resumption of the Chess Beauty series.

All I need is the time! Look for these in the next few months.

Thanks for your interest guys! :D
