Fun game and good lecture, as always.

In the ...Nf5 (instead of ...Be7) / Qxd8 Qxc2 variation you discussed, isn't Rd2 a better way than Kg2 to meet the threat to f2?

Thanks Dennis

That was nuts! :rambo: I imagine the excitement playing this game :roll:
Although not as crazy as the other crazy game you showed :) still very cool. The middlegame explanations were as good as always and the moments when you ask us to find the moves is a great idea, the more the better.
However I do have to turn my speakers quite loud to hear you well enough. Does anyone else experience this problem? Or is it a problem with my sound configuration?

There is a lot of good information in that video that I wouldn't think of looking for over the board. Things like blocking the two pawns. It's a good glimpse into higher level chess. Hopefully I can use it in my own play.

To all: You're welcome, and I'm glad you're enjoying it so far!

Armis: I boosted the mic volume for part 3, so that should resolve the problem.

dfan: You mean better than Kg1, right? I agree; it is an improvement, but I don't think it fundamentally changes the situation. Black responds with ...Qc1, hitting the a3-pawn and will likely continue with ...Nd4 on the next move.

I did mean Kg1, right. I agree that Black is still better after ,..Rd2.

I'm excited to see that part 3 is finally out!

Hello;

I can't tell you how much enjoy this series of videos. The commentary is clear and well presented.

I do have a small technical question ... what software are you using to show the games, I like the way you can show the arrows in bright green.

Keep up the wonderful work!!

Cordially,

:D Fantastic! It's amazing what time does to you during a game. The player not in time trouble blunders! Then the opponent repays the compliment. This happens in so many games. I think it's this type of drama which keeps us coming back for more. The flawless masterpieces are the exception and the majority of games have this element of human error under pressure. It's a game of errors really.

Great video by the way.

nulfinator: Sorry, I hadn't checked this game in a while for new comments. The software is ChessBase, and you can do the same with Fritz or any of the chess engines using the Fritz GUI.
