Interesting opening. I might give ...b5 a try in some blitz games.

I was a little surprised that a4 (after ...b5) wasn't so strong for white. It seems so logical, but what you were saying about the c4 square made sense.

After Bg5 and Ne4, things really get weird.

The position after Nxf7 and dxe6 is unbelievable. I thought it was a crazy analysis position you'd come up with, so I was shocked when you mentioned that there
have been several tournament games in that exact line.

The opening discussion was great, you brought in a variety of positions to show the various ideas possible. In the Hebden-Gormally game, I think I'd rather have black, but it looks pretty equal (as you said).

This game had a great early middlegame (lots to analyze). I was surprised that it turned into a tactical slugfest so quickly. Nxf7 was a very nice move.

Bonin finished the game nicely (allowing Be5). Great video.

FIDE 2118, USCF 2073.

Thanks, Josh. I didn't know about Nxf7 followed by dxe6, or much about this line in general either, until I prepared the video. It's amazing how many cool, outrageous sidelines one can find messing around with a database's opening book .
