It looked atleast promising. One thing I disliked with the initial position was the d6 pawn pinned to your queen which I felt limited your position but well..I have not analysed the position. I might look at it more later.


Edit:

Okay. Maybe Re8 instead of 12. Qc7 and it looks more appealing to me but whatever..You will figure it out =)

Is this a normal setup against the Torre? It's a hedgehog setup (w/h6)..but you don't have the thematic b5/d5 pawn breaks because there's no pawns on c4 or e4...thus the trouble of finding a move there in the middlegame when you were shuffling around before playing e5. I guess it still has its sturdiness..but just no counterattacking dynamic?

It's kinda normal. It's not exactly my favorite style of position but its considered very solid by almost all top players, and lots of strong people play it. The main plan is to play this ...e5 junk.
