i like that qc6 move because it holds your positional trumps, namely: 2 bishops, space advantage, extra central pawn (more space in center) even a safer kings. allowing e4 would sort of close the position in a way that would lessen your advantage. also note blacks stunted bishop on b2 and pretty useless knight on g3.
A cursory glance at blacks position looks very pleasing optically and in fact i don't see how u can be anything but winning around move 20 despite material equality imho.

A long time ago Danny Rensch showed me this structure with g6, e6 and Nge7 and since then I've not had any trouble playing against the Grand Prix Attack and always seem to have easy plans to follow.
