For Sarciness's game...
might this follow:
6. Bxc6 dxc6 7. Nd4 c5 8. Qh5+ Kd8 9. Ne6+ Bxe6 10. fxe6 Qxe6 11. O-O g6 12. Qh4+ Be7 13. Qf4 Nf6 14. Nc3 g5 15. Qe3 c4 16. d3 b6 17. Nxe4 Nxe4 18. dxe4 Bc5 Qd2+ Ke8

What is an alternative play?

I think 7...c5? is a poor choice, it just wasted time pushing white's knight to where it wants to go (e6). Better is 7...Qe5 as in the game when white's best is to repeat with 8.Nf3 Qe7. If my opponent had done this, I would likely have rejected the implicit draw offer (9. Nd4) with 9...Nh6 and approximately equal chances.

It's been awhile since I posted something here. Inspired by Sarciness, I've started to play the Schliemann against the Spanish Game. Despite knowing next to nothing about it, I've been doing well because my opponents apparently know even less about it than I do. Here the abysmal Re1 seals White's fate but I liked the finish so that's why it's here.

Hi Kamus, nice crush! If you want to learn more about the Jaenisch, a certain Dennis Monokroussos (sp?) did a reasonably decent series on it on some site I never heard of...

It was good whilst it lasted, CVTV.

Another nice one, Sarci! Yes CVTV was awesome while it lasted. I stick around because someone has to and there is still a ton of great videos yet to see.

Post Re: Checkmates in 20 moves or less
Let me start by saying that I have never posted a video on this site and I concede, therefore, that I am not really in a position to express an opinion on it. Unfortunately, I can't resist the opportunity you have just given me to do so, though I will no doubt deeply regret that decision when I wake up sober tomorrow morning. People were mocked for talking about the "death of the site". It turns out that they were in fact prophetic geniuses who have not been given their due credit. It's astonishing to me that their tremendous insight hasn't been acknowledged by anyone since - people should be out in the streets celebrating these remarkable individuals. CVTV was good up to a point BUT... lets get this into perspective... it was nowhere near as good as what we have now... Chess24, chess.com and Youtube (come on Katar, you are wrong... that content is superior by far). Thank God those guys came to the rescue. I always felt CVTV was ruined when, through no fault of their own (I guess), "Curtains" and "Zibbit" became celebrities on the site; worshiped and adored by everyone (except me). The sense of an online chess community was completely lost because everything revolved around them all of a sudden, and nothing else was considered important (or even worth commenting on...) I actually wonder what the point of this thread is... simply for people to brag about winning against lower rated opponents? Is that really what chess is about?? Anyway, before I get shot down, please consider why I am even bothering to post this... because I do care about the site (in a way...)

Just a quick note to apologize for the above comment, I was drunk when I wrote that message and not in the right state of mind to be posting on a forum. There is of course nothing wrong with this thread - people should celebrate their achievements in chess, that is something to be encouraged. I'm posting this message because of that comment in particular, as I feel it was insulting to everyone who has posted here. While I do agree with the other comments I made, I would normally use more sensitivity and tact when posting.

Loved the rook sac. It was also interesting to see how you played against your own former opening (well technically, you played the Nf6 variation). This is the setup I like against the Scandi as well. I learned it from a Nigel Davies video- it's not terribly well known I think but it's coincidentally the approach used by Curtains as well. Thanks for sharing!
