Hehe, looks easy but previously I had like 3-4 draws vs this guy. So I guess that means I am improving or he is getting worse!!

It's always nice to see someone punished for playing boring chess. I mean, playing for a draw against a higher-rated opponent: okay. Pragmatism. But with white? Come on. Show some life!! Nice play Zibbit.

:D Well played Ingvar. Nice how you built on small advantages in the position. Better minor piece and more active Q. Excellent.

I learned a lot about bishops from watching this. The extent of my knowledge on bishop pairs before watching this was just that in the endgame they are worth an extra pawn : / Now I know it's ok to trade 1 if it leads to an active bishop against a passive knight with pawns on both sides of the board.

Very impressive, how well you used that dark squared bishop in the end game.

I am always very frustrated when I play someone who is so passive, but I think that is because I don't have very good plans in the middle game. I just bought IM Jeremy Silman's "Inside the Amateur's Mind" and hopefully that will help me formulate better plans.

The idea of placing your Queen and other pieces on better squares is awesome and I will definitely try to slowly improve my position as well.

Thx again Zibbit, haven't heard from you in awhile but hopefully you'll be back sometime soon : )

What about d5 instead of h5? Seems good too. Also after f5 Nf1 f4 what if now e5? What would you do?

Nice tactics after b4 Qxb4! I really enjoyed the video as always. brilliant commentary and instruction. You deserve some time off from being the volunteer chess teacher of 1,000+ chess hobbyists. I hope you don't let the evil comments (or the god-worship comments) affect you too much. :)

Also i think you are an ambassador of good will for Iceland. I had never had any previous contacts with anything from Iceland, but somehow recently i find myself reading about Iceland on Wikipedia and suddenly i have an urge to visit Reykjavik. Zibbit videos are the reason!! I think you really put Iceland on the map for hundreds of people here who previously never encountered anyone or anything from Iceland besides maybe Bjork. Iceland is well-represented here, owing to your good humor, good chess, and good manners. I enjoyed and benefited from your contributions here, including the many humorous bits. Unlike the other demigod "Curtains" who required tithings of chocolate from his servants   , you regularly descended from Mount Olympus to mingle with the peasants, somehow without being condescending. So since you are taking a well-deserved break, i just wanted to express my appreciation.
