This just a great and very rich.. full of useful techniques And Dennis should be really thanked for good preparation ... you help us a lot and we love you man! Though the title of the video made everyone runs away:p .... words like "endgame", "defense" , "study" and what?!! "draw":p someone can fall asleep already while reading only the title

Great lesson Dennis. Sometimes we need to be reminded of the basics, like triangulation...I know it happens to me when going over my games once in awhile. Thank you

Great D-fence Dennis! You really hung tough. You probably had him so worn out at the end that he didn't see your one mistake.

Please sort your thoughts before recording and not while recording.

I'm not sure what you're referring to, but I don't think I have anything to apologize for here. I do prepare my shows, often taking a considerable amount of time to do so. Lacking omniscience, however, it sometimes happens that a fresh idea catches my attention while I'm recording. I could pretend it's not there, but I generally prefer to stop for a moment and work it out.

Neither do I see much of a problem with Dennis analysing during the recording, in fact I actually like it. You get to see a master in action so to speak

 Re: Dennis M. - Endgame Defense: A study-like draw [40:29]
I just watched this video and as I was watching I asked myself... didn't you miss a variation? (Around 28:30. W: Kf5,e3,g4 B: Kd6,g7,g5 Black to move)
1... Kd5 2.Kg6(!) is very tricky 2... Ke4 only move 3.Kxg7 and now not Kxe3 which loses to Kg6, but instead 3... Kf3! and Black gets his draw e.g. 4.e4 Kxg4 5.Kf6 Kf3 6.e5 and both sides' pawns queen.

 Re: Dennis M. - Endgame Defense: A study-like draw [40:29]
When do I ever learn. You should always analyze everything through to the end. Same position as in my post above...
1... Kd5 2.e4+ Kd6? 3.Kg6! wins. See: 3... Ke5 4.Kxg7 Kf4 or 4... Kxe4 5.Kg6 +- 5.e5! +- since 5... Kxe5 loses to 6.Kg6 and 5... Kxg4 let's White's e-pawn queen.
How about 2... Kd4 then? This Black can hold because of a little trick everyone should know: 3.e5 Kd5 4.e6 Kd6 5.Kg6 Kxe6 6.Kxg7 Ke7 7.Kg6 Kf8! and now Black will just shuffle his king back and forth on the 8th rank until White plays Kxg5 and which point Black grabs the opposition with Kg7 and it's a draw.
