Dennis, I have watched and learned a great deal about chess from your videos, but I have to admit - I rewatch them at bedtime because something about your voice is so soothing and it helps me get to sleep. When I want to learn from them, I watch during the day - but at night, it's good medicine for my insomnia. As an added bonus, I sometimes even dream about chess! Looking forward to this video.

Are you going to be playing in the US Open next year?

Thanks for the game Dennis, it was pounded in my head early in my chess career the importance of pawns and pawn breaks. Its always nice to see a game unfold around one of these. :D

emstrem: Glad it was useful. One will never run out of games that demonstrate the importance of pawn breaks, that's for sure.

Miscreant: I'm not sure if I'm playing in next year's U.S. Open. I might not be in the state by then, and even if I am Indianapolis isn't exactly in the neighborhood. It's a definite maybe. As for my voice: hmmm. :) Should I look for work as a nighttime DJ?

Why didn't you consider Nc6 at 30:43?

MGM: I did consider it (mentally) - it's hard not look at such a juicy square, one that would win on the spot were it not for Black's bishop on g2. But White's a pawn down and Nc6+ doesn't seem to achieve anything special after Black takes it, so I didn't think it merited discussion. The moves I presented seemed more to the point: Nxf7 because it regains the pawn, and Kxg2 because although it doesn't regain the pawn Black's pawns are messed up (doubled e-pawns, isolated and vulnerable c-pawn) and the d-file opens for White's possible use.

Would be great to always have the PGN, with the variations, ready to be downloaded.
