A nice game. Most blitz games are obviously blitz but that looked like it could have been a slower game. Very controlled.
By the way, I don't have a problem with people posting only their wins :). If my opponent beats me then he can make his own chess video!

People don't post only their wins, though. Sounds like you guys watch only select videos if you believe that.

Re: katar - Sacrificial Danish gambit [9:30]
just to add on to your line at 2:00, some people may think, well, I can play Be6 and pin his bishop to his queen ie 1...Be6 2.Bxa8?? Bxb3 -+ however in that case white just plays 2.Qxb5+ and if 2...Bd7 hoping the queen will retreat to b3 for instance when black can play Nc6 holding everything together instead white plays 3.Qb7 and here black can try the tricky 3...Bc6 the point being that black's bishop attacks the queen while protecting the rook and opening up the queen on e7 to attack white's queen as well and if 4.Qxe7+?? Bxe7 and again black is fine, however this time white has 4.Bxc6! reestablishing protection of the queen on b7, renewing the threat of qxa8 and checking the black king where black has nothing better than 4...Nxc6 5.Qxc6+ Qd7(Kd8 same) 6.Qxa8+ winning easily

Re: katar - Sacrificial Danish gambit [9:30]
thanks for the comment. there is also the variation 1.Bd5 Bb7 2.Qxb5+ winning a piece after Nd7 3.Qxb7 Rb8 4.Qxa7. black is too weak on the light squares to get away with anything.

Re: katar - Sacrificial Danish gambit [9:30]
nice vid i have recently started playing almost exclusively gambits, its great for improving your understanding of initiative in opening play. and my favourite is the danish, morra and budapest gambits, there is a great series of vids on icc by boris alterman just in various gambits so check it out . Thanks for the fresh ammo . cheers

Re: katar - Sacrificial Danish gambit [9:30]
Nice video on this great opening.
Just a thought though, when queen is on e7 defending f7 and b7, why not play a Bishop sac Bg5 attacking the queen. If he takes then Qxb7 wins the rook
Just a suggestion. To what others have said +1 great video otherwise. :)

Great video -- and a lovely game too! It's very nice when things all come together, even if it's just blitz... I thought your comment about having fun being the first step to victory at the club level was very wise -- and deserved a highlight (and a BUMP as it's nearly a year later) since it has the potential to bump one's skill by maybe a rating class if truly taken to heart.

The line at 2:00...Blacks move of Be6 (attempt to pin white's bishop to his queen to protect the rook) White has Qxb5+ and black has no good way to meet this. Black can avoid going a full rook up (remember white saced his Knight taking the pawn on b5) but black is down the exchange and white is better. Nice game.
