Aha, I'm doing these tactics on my own so it's very nice to see a new video of yours!

You taught me Anastasia's mate in your first pattern recognition video (I think that was the video title), so I'm glad to see it again. It amazes me how systematically you go through your move order. Too often I am just randomly going through potential moves, so I still need work on emulating your style. I imagine you didn't get to where you are over night, but maybe you have a fairly organized thought process in general.

You sound well! At the end I have to agree- it can be frustrating to play well and then end down a few points.

Thanks for posting the video.

Hey! Nice to see a video from you :). I think it's brave of you to use tacticservers, especially since some problems really are tormenting. For example the one where you end with Rd7, I mean, come on! Rxf8 wins incredibly easy too, but that's wrong? Therefore I don't like them personally...

In the video you had the same thing too. The first one with the Nxf3 and Ng1 blocking Qd1+. The only reason that might be inferior is that it takes white more moves to mate black after something like Qxg1+ and Nf3+ followed by Bxg5, but even then it's just mate after Bg7+ and Bd5... Really, that problem should stop after you've spotted Qg5, cause the rest is easy.

The second one though (the Re8 one), you missed Qf8# in your calculations, not Qf6+ :P.

Anyway, I watched it and thank your for contributing to my dayly exercise :).

What a relief....
Sometimes I spot the idea but can't figure out the correct line and I always wonder if spotting the idea is at least worth something. A relief to see that this seems to be normal :P
I have to admit I didn't watch the previous tactics vids, but it is fun trying to solve the problems simultaneous to you (well, simultaneous ???...you are much faster of course).
I was quite surprised that you take a close look at the material -even counting pawns. I never do that when doing tactics, only looking for some pattern.

You are right RAU, I completely missed Qf8#. Huge problem I have only spotting my own stuff but missing to easily my opponents threats.

Also I agree with like the problem ending with Rd7. It's just a matter of taste to play Rd7 or Rxf8. Both should win easy. The problem should either end before that move or give correct for both.

Great stuff Zibbit! Just regarding the frustration of these sometimes, I thought I'd add that the tactics server I often use over at http://www.chesstempo.com is good in that most problems allow for various forcing moves. When one of these "almost correct" moves is played, a message comes up noting: "This was a good move, but not the computer's first choice." Then you still get to play the problem out. That might make you less mad :P Amazing play though. Couldn't hope to keep up.
