There is a position at about 34 minutes in:

Image

you say after 1. Na3 then:
1... Nf6
2. Nc4 Qe7
3. Ba3 d6
4. Nxa5 Qxf7

now why can't white take the queen here?

Post Re: chesslectures - The Evans Gambit Full Analysis #1 [47:41]
I think the answer to that question is quite simple, don't you?? The answer is: Sheer stupidity =D .... Yes, sorry about that! The King was supposed to be on f8 not d8.

1.e4 e5 2.Nf3 Nc6 3.Bc4 Bc5 4.b4 Bxb4 5.c3 Ba5 6.Qb3 Qf6 7.d4 Nxd4 8.Nxd4 exd4 9.0-0 dxc3 10.e5 Qxe5 11.Bxf7+ Kf8 12.Na3 Nf6 13.Nc4 Qe7 14.Ba3 d6 15.Nxa5 Qxf7 16.Qxc3

Again, sorry about that. If you find more mistakes let me know, if there are too many i'll just fix it and upload it again. I know i missed a variation i said i'll get back to but never did?! ... Well it's the first time i did such a long video i got confused a bit =D till now i only made 10 minute videos on youtube ---> http://www.youtube.com/user/ChessLectures

Great

I think you'll find that a lot of guys using this site will start playing the Evans. You've probably started something.

Regards Bruce

chesslectures,

Funny, I just recently mentioned my interest int the Evans Gambit in the live "Italian Delight" game I just posted the other day. I have been playing the Scotch Gambit and have always been intrigued by the Evans Gambit, especially since Morphy played it so often. I look forward to watching this video (45 min) while I am on my treadmill Wednesday night. Can't Wait :bounce:

Yippy Kai yay!

Bruce,

LOL, yeah, that is a trick. I build a shelf on the wall above my treadmill that supports the back end of my laptop while the front lays over the control panel frame. Works beautifully! I also have an recumbent exercise bike and I built another wooden rig that allows me to use my laptop while on my exercise bike. All for the love of chess...lol. It really makes my exercise session much more productive and enjoyable. TV just doesn't cut it for me anymore, not when I could be watching a cvtv, Icc, or youtube chess video. Of course I don't play games because it requires using a mouse etc, but it is great for videos!

I am not kidding about a previous statement that my kids used to call me MacGyver!

:D that guy Macgyver looks like a bit of a whimp to me. I haven't seen him face death on the mountains once! This show hasn't 'hit' Scotland yet I'm glad to say!

Aye, You won't see the likes of him over there since the Macgyver show was in the 1980's and now he is traveling all over the universe.

Besides, it's a case of brains, not brawn. Sounds like you are trying to pick a fight. Maybe I should kick you butt in a game of chess!
