Re: Zibbit - Nugget #4: Some favourites [8:46]
thanks for this video.
in the "Knight Tango" example at 3:00, it looks like 1.Nxe6 is also pretty good for white. that's the move that jumped out to me. but the crazy knight moves were very surprising.

Another cool video, gotta love those knights! I especially liked the last example with ...Re1. I must be a sick person, but I almost always look for those 'impossible' moves before looking for 'normal' candidate moves. I guess that when you have seen the Lewitzky-Marshall Breslau 1912 a person is never 'normal' again! See - you don't need to change your style! Keep 'em coming - great vids.

Very cool video, Ingvar.
If you don't mind my asking, how old were you when you beat your first IM?
This is without a doubt the most action packed 8 minute chess video I've seen.

Hi! I was all of 24 when I beat my first IM in OTB chess with real timecontrols (not rapid or blitz). One year before that I came out of a 6 year chess hiatus

Love the videos.
I'm glad I stumbled upon them while checking out the site. The last mate with the rook sac was awesome.
Thanks for sharing.

Really nice! I'm pleased I saw the last mate straight away...isn't that a 'Navotny'?

Re: Zibbit - Nugget #4: Some favourites [8:46]
I admit I wasn't aware of this definition so I googled it and you are right: "In a Novotny interference it's White (the winning player) who plunks a piece down on the interference square which curiously cannot be captured due to the same interference problem. Novotny tactics are often breathtaking, because a player will put a piece on a square which can be captured so many ways, and yet it's immune to capture. And it's not a revealed attack--it's pure interference. Puzzles with Novotny solutions often appear so outlandish they look like typographical errors." So this is indeed probably a Navotny, and a nice one if I allowed to say so myself
