Re: IM Alex Lenderman - Transitions Within A Chess Game [35:18]
Welcome to the group, Alex. Also, congratulations on your GM Norm in June, any near-in plans for getting the title? Keep playing like you did in AZ and you should get it soon, nice games.
I have to admit, I thought it was funny in the first game of this presentation you mentioned that Roy might know more theory than you. He's 14! I guess that's life in the computer age. Back in the 70s-80s a 14 and 21 year old were are on very different levels where theory is concerned unless they were working with a group of GMs. The kids these days are tough! Though I must admit that I didn't understand his ...Ra6 idea, even if it did bolster the dark squares. Have to admit, he's a sharp kid and he struck while the iron was hot with the Knight Sac.
Nice example of trend reversal, from positional to tactical.
Welcome to our little chess community!

thanks for the video! And it shows that one learns most by studying the own losses.

Great video-you are very humble to have chosen to analyze one of your losses for your first video and your ability to objectively analyze lost games will help you-and us- tremendously...
