Sicilian Checkhover Variation: nice endgame win for White
I've started playing this variation as white and have good results. White gets good developement of his pieces and also a good position I think. Black thinks he is gaining a tempo with the attack on the Queen with ...Nc6, but Bb5 is a strong move. This variation can only be played though when Black plays an early ...d6. I do get into some trouble at move 24 though when I allow his rooks to double up on the a file. But, by pulling my rook down to the 1st rank I prevent black from delivering the death blow. I was able to get a K+R endgame which was good for me in developing my endgame technique.

Well, for whatever reason my game replay did not post properly. Sorry about that. Maybe I'll just do a video.

Call me a fuddy-duddy but I believe there was still some play in the position. White does have an overwhelming lead in development though....
