Why must they torture me!
I start learning a new opening and all the sudden everyone tries to teach each other how to beat it...

Good video though I hope it won't cost me a few tournament games... hehe although like you said now I know black's counters...

It's just funny that TAE beat Josh and then every forum member i've played since then has played the same line... it's hilarious!

That really is a good video!

Hehe, sorry :) But I'm glad you liked the video, I was a little bit afraid to do one (I rather type English than try to speak it).

Chess players have accents... who cares! I could understand it. I'll avoid these lines...

pawn at d5 can't take whites pawn c4.. Coz pawn from e2 will go to e4 where it takes control over center and bishop from f1 is attacking blacks c4 pawn.

I'm not good player so I might be wrong but I have playd that sitsuation always like that :D
so if you have some deeper analyzes about that move and variations from what kind of sitsuations it will lead. would be helpful.. ^__^

btw are you from Finland?

Thanks for the great video, you're a natural. Don't worry about your accent, your English is great! I'm a little sad this is from black's point of view (since I play this as white), but I still found it instructive :) Do you play against the pseudo-Trompowsky often?

Once I saw that the video is from black's point of view, I figured you would focus on black's best line...the variation with h6 and c6. That's the one I hate playing against.

I also like how you reference chess-videos.com games, that's pretty cool.

Thanks for the video!

Your english is fine, had no trouble understanding you. Instructional video, and much easier to me than reading theory books, thanks.

Thank you all for nice comments!

Tom_, yea normally it might be a bad idea to play dxc4 and try to hold the pawn (for example in a normal Queen's gambit accepted 1. d4 d5 2. c4 dxc4), but here (after 1. d4 d5 2. Bg5 h6 3. Bh4 c6 4. c4?!) I was guessing that maybe 4.. dxc4 could be good. If 5. e4, you are correct that white gets the center, but he might not regain the pawn after 5.. b5 or something. But I cannot be sure at all, since that 4. c4 dxc4 has been played only once in my database (Chepukaitis - Rublevsky, black won). And yes, I'm from Finland, nice guess!

JoshSpecht, I play against it quite rarely, but the reason I've studied it a little was because I had to play against a strong player in one tournament who uses this with white. But he surprised me and played 2. c4 and went for a exchange queen's gambit  Fortunately we reached an equal position and he accepted my early draw offer.

Glad you liked it! I might do another at some point. I saw that doing an opening video also helps to remember the moves better.
