 Not all calculating mistakes are made during the first moves, I'll have to remember that! |

Re: Hitchhiker - Endgame Training 3 [34:42] In the first one, 1... Bb5+ looks a simpler win to me. 2. Bc4 (forced to avoid losing the knight) Bxc4 3. bxc4 (again forced) Nxe2 4. Kxe2 a5 and black wins with the outside passed pawn.

Re: Hitchhiker - Endgame Training 3 [34:42] Thank you for your comment! I guess after the Nxe2 Bc6 line Bxc6 Kxc6 and Ke3 is way more complicated than needed. I think it's still winning, but Bb5 is a much simpler and better move.
