FYI I just reposted my post for the Carlsen- Wang Yue game and instead of the replayer link, you see "error connecting to database".

Bummer dudes!

Fixed. Thanks for the report.

Alright, videos uploads should now work again. I just did a test upload all the way from Uploader to website and it all should work now. On the plus side, the new server is much more powerful so your upload should now process faster!

ok, so it let me upload without error messages, but that was several hours ago and still isnt here. Not sure if this is a problem or is just going to take longer, but just thought i would make you aware incase it should be up.

No shortage of speedbumps.

It turns out the video encoding software doesn't work very well in 64-bit, which is what our new powerhouse machine is. After much work I have gotten a 32-bit version working, which should be churning out your videos as we speak.

I reposted my 3rd round video more than 24 hours ago and it still isn't listed - should I upload it again or is there simply a delay?

There didn't appear to be a problem with the upload yesterday - seemed to work exactly as with previous successful uploads.

By the way, it would be useful if the uploader software indicated when the upload is complete and successful - mine just sits there saying "< 1 minute remaining" - so I keep it open until the video appears on the site.

Hmm...sorry about that. I'll see what admin thinks.

Yeah there is still a minor issue with videos that are being reposted. I'm just dealing with them on a case by case basis, so this video is found + fixed. All new videos should work fine.

Also, yeah the uploader is a little past its time and sometimes doesn't show the upload completed successfully. After it shows "< 1 minute remaining" for a few minutes you are free to close it, the video is likely uploaded. This is going to be fixed by releasing an online uploader in your browser in the future (hopefully the near future!).

Thanks! The encouragement means a lot to us, especially in the midst of the craziness of a server upgrade :)
