 Re: IM Renier C.: Andreikin-Dreev, 2011 [48:57]
Thanks Renier. When I saw this was a Panov I thought you might have found a new wrinkle in the main-line endgame (which is why I gave up the PB attack). I had seen this idea of delaying the advance of the d-pawn early in the game but never gave it much thought. After this video I'll have to consider it over what I now play against the Caro-Kann, it has an aggressive edge to it, I like it.
I enjoy your videos because you point out precise move-orders in many of the openings I play and therefor you save me a lot of homework, or at least you set the groundwork for me.
23:58 Bd6 followed by the a3 rook lift, very nice indeed. And c5 protecting the bishop, it's raining crap on Black! I agree, it is a beautiful game - can you post the players names and date so I can look it up?
Very nice finish by Andreikin.
Thanks again!

Great game and great commentary especially! I've really liked how you underlined your statements and analysis with important games, and still didn't forget to explain the important ideas to us patzers. I really like the Panov-Attack, after this video I might try to play it with 2.c4. Thanks Renier, will be there for your next video.

Just be aware of ...e5. You'll need to be comfortable w/ certain KID and OID positions.
