Post Re: Dennis M.: Quick Ruy XII: 5.d3 & 6.d3 [37:55]
Thanks Dennis, I really appreciated this lecture. I would vote for the Open Ruy next as I would like to play the d3 lines but only after 0-0 first. As Black I play the ...d6 and ...g6 line and I hate to face it as White, so 5.d3 isn't to my liking.

I started looking at the 'little lopez' many years ago, like in B.C. (Before Computers) and at first I liked 5.d3 before stumbling on the above mentioned line. When I realized that I would have to prepare against the Open Lopez after 0-0 I wasn't so pleased even though I do have a line that seems okay against it. I switched back to the regular open Ruy but then I wasn't happy with my positions in the Archangel or Ziatsev - it seems I would get an okay position but let it slip away for some reason.

Heck, do either one next, I need both lectures to round out my repertoire! Can you post them tomorrow? just kidding. Thanks again!
