Well for some reason I thought the audio was bad, but after playing it on here, it seems to work fine. For whatever reason the version that I play directly on my computer has lots of weird skipping problems, so anyway it's a slightly discounted tourney video for you all :)

The sound was just fine, but there seemed to be a tiny bit of lag that I'm not used to seeing in your other videos. Not a big deal though, barely noticable.

Nice chance to try out that pawn structure and still score the point. Of course, him giving you a few tempi in the late opening helped your cause. Fun game.

Yeah, the lag was strange. It seemed to come and go without any discernible blips in either the video or sound. Wasn't bad enough overall to ruin the video or anything.

The lag (the video was delayed relative to the audio) was noticeable to me, and definitely negatively impacted the video. You would be saying "this" instead of actually specifying the move (which has never been an issue before), and I wouldn't know what the move was until 5 seconds later, at which point you had moved well on. I could manage okay, but it really qualitatively changed my enjoyment of the video, and if they were all like this I might stop watching.

(The aspect ratio is still funny, btw.)

Hmm, I didn't notice the lag. But anyway I realized that when I play these videos on VLC media player, this sound problem occurs, but if I play them on winamp it doesn't, so clearly it was just my computer that was the problem, and so I expect that everything else should work fine.

Also I changed some settings so probably fine from now on in all regards too. If you are concerned, and if it might bother you, I'd suggest not buying the next video in this series (rd3 vs kudrin), as any problems that occurred during this may occur again.

I don't see any problem with the aspect ratio? Am I delusional?

I don't see anything wrong with the aspect, but I won't answer the second question  jk

Looking forward to the Kudrin game

Have you considered collapsing the ribbon while you do the videos? That might help with the aspect problems.

I don't understand what the aspect problem is at all? Everything looks completely normal to me?

Okay, I held up a piece of paper to the board and it seems that the board is about 1/4" wider than it is tall, this seems perfectly acceptable. I know that most of my videos are about the same. Others are way off, being much wider than tall.

It might also have to do with the viewers monitor settings (mine is at 1600X900). I don't really know what the beef is, it looks fine to me. Closing the ribbon may make the board larger, but I don't think it will have an impact on the overall aspect.

BTW I opened chessbase and the board there _is_ completely square and true, I don't know why the video recording programs alter this, but other than bugging me at this particular moment, I've never given it much thought. I use Camtasia Studio and there is a way to select a custom area and you can sort of compensate for this stretching effect, but this is a hit-or-miss proposition. I say leave well enough alone, looks fine to me.

The horizontal stretching issue is a lot better than it was in T3-1, but in your T1 and T2 videos there wasn't an issue at all: squares were perfectly square, and the video appeared to match your own screen pixel-for-pixel (e.g., text was very sharp when I didn't have it expanded to full screen). If this is as good as you can get it with this recorder, I can handle it, but I do miss the perfect fidelity of the old videos.

I imagine that the source rectangle you are recording is of very slightly different dimensions from the video you're capturing to, and the software is stretching the source rather than letterboxing or pillarboxing.

I freely confess to being more sensitive to video stretching than most people.

To me it still looks fine, but for anyone smarter than me, can you tell me what dimensions I should use for my recording screen so there would be no issues?
