 Re: Zibbit - B vs Vignisson(1558) RCC12(1) [24:05]
nice game even though you completely outclassed him.
obtaining the bishop pair was probably your opponents biggest mistake. and then trying to attack your kingside with no idea how to do it.
I was wondering you said that your opponent had no idea how to attack the fianchetto king position, what should his plan have been rather than pointing his pieces at your king?

 Re: Zibbit - B vs Vignisson(1558) RCC12(1) [24:05]
It goes back to his mistake of exchanging the black squared bishop. Against fianchetto g6/Bg7 usually exchanging it with Qd2-Bh6 to weaken the position is a plan. Then we usually need pawn breaks, either h4-h5 to weaken the structure or open the h-file or some kind of f4-f5 and trying to get weaknesses on g6/e6/f7 and potential sacrifice. It was clear from the game that a heavy piece attack was achieving nothing so something else was necessary for the attack to have a chance to succeed.

Nice to have a game from you again. Looking forward to subsequent rounds. Also, it's good to see the legendary visage behind the familiar voice though it was a little dark. Thanks!

The way i understand Sicilian is that Black gives White some vague "attacking chances" in order to get a preponderance of pawns in the center, then Black eventually hopes to use his center pawns to kick White out of the center. In this game White evacuated the center voluntarily! Kinda hilarious position with all white pieces in a little box h1-g4. We love u Zibbit. Sincerely, ur loyal fans.

You played me for the fool - the way you lead into the video, I thought you blundered and lost it. You should be in Hollywood, sir!

Gotta agree with Katar, the position of White's pieces was priceless! White is all dressed up with nowhere to go. What program are you using to get the floating video box of you speaking. You could use a bit of front lighting so you don't look like you're lurking in the shadows. Also, for a touch of Hollywood, use a Jason Stratham accent, that would pull things together and maybe get a nomination for an Oscar. Looking forward to future vid's from the RCC.

Yeah sorry about the lighting. Was just testing this and it was a bit dark where I was. It's YouCam or something I am sure I can turn the light on better or make some changes in the settings. But anyway I will not be doing this every video, just now and then I guess.

Wow. Hanging out with the national team once a week for training and to talk about chess. I'm moving to Iceland. Maybe they'll let me listen in as long as I don't say nothin'.
Thanks for the video.

Sort of amazing how quickly the white position collapsed after just a few inaccurate moves.

I really appreciate videos that show errors from low ranking players (especially the type of errors that you don't find it tactics puzzles). Thanks!
