Yeah, G1 all that crap you looked at after the game is not appealing to me for the Black pieces. I did a brief look at this line in the game Nakamura-Hess US CH 2012 R1 viewtopic.php?t=10441 where Robert played Bd6 - oddly, it's the computer's choice and it becoming more topical these days. The idea is extra support to e5, it may seem weird, but the examples I've looked at seem to make ...Bd6 viable. But it's your call.

G2 was funny, you were tying to set up a R&N mating net, then shuffled all your pieces to the queenside, then back to the kingside to give a R&N mate after all, chess is a strange game.
