Nicely balanced game I thought.

Clearly very direct play. Given your mood, you should have avoided the central opening with e4. You already have plenty kingside space to bring your pieces over into attacking positions - a Rook lift comes to mind. After e4 black could have just played for mass exchanges - no pieces, no attack. Being so consistant in your aims, as you did here, can be very scary for the opponent. Good style.

 Re: QP Game
Thanks pobble for the compliment. Part of the game I still struggle with, as I'm sure players of all caliber do, is when and when not to advance in the center, whether defending or attacking. I guess if you have a space advantage and play a move like e4, like you said offering exchanges can reduce the attacking force. So, in the defenders case, advancing when it is possible to offer trades in a cramped position etc, can be useful as well. I'll think on this more. Thanks for looking.

 Re: QP Game
Nice game! I just started playing QP openings recently as well and this is the kind of game I strive towards...patient pressing the small advantages! I think he did play some strange moves, not exchanging when he had less space, and also pushing QS pawns when his king was under fire, but in any case you put him to bed :)
