Thanks for this- good video! Very unusual to see Capablanca play in this way- I'm guessing this had to be a simul. Also, I have never seen this Qf3 idea for White. I'll have to look this up to see why no one plays this- as you said, it looks like a fun idea for blitz. I was also impressed that the Capablanca played this queen sac- it's hard to believe it's sound but if Capablance had the confidence to play it, then it probably is!

Thanks for your comments :D Yes I think so too, although the score sheet doesn't mention that is was a simul. This Qf3 idea is very interesting indeed. It is not played on the highest level because on the highest level they almost always play 2. Nf3 instead of the king's gambit 2. f4 .. but it's definitely a good surprise weapon for blitz.
