Interesting game, very enjoyable to watch. I felt your description of your thought processes throughout was exceptionally clear, concise and illuminating. And your brief post game analysis was very succinct and to the point. Looks like a very strong competition entry to me.

This was an interesting game and a very fine presentation. It's fun to watch an experienced player design an attack on the enemy's castled king. Nicely done.

Ok we transpose into the c3 Sicilan. I don't know if c4 is right...somehow feels a bit loose and my intuition tells me it's not good. However I have only FM intuition so it's no "big truth". If Bd2 then maybe Black plays ..:Ba6 and gets to exchange light squared bishops which is probably what he wants here.

- I felt like exd was unnecessary, just 0-0 since Bxf3 hangs a8

- After g3 perhaps ...f5 is trouble for white?!?

- After Rxh6 sac, perhaps Qg4+ first to put the king on h8 is more accurate.

- Re4/h4 were nice moves.

Pretty logical and good game overall I think.

After the Rxh6 sac, gxh6, Qf5 black has Qc6+ and the game is even. It was a blitz game and having to defend a position under time pressure is definitely not easy, but it was technically correct for black to remove the white knight defending the h2 pawn and then to capture the h2 pawn. Technically correct meaning that given enough time to play accurately after said moves, but black did not play accurately, so in this game, you were correct that it was a dangerous idea for black.

Bullrock: I missed Qc6+ after the exchange sac. It hard to see those long lines in a blitz game. I think that even after that I still have enough compensation.

Zibbit: c4 was indeed a bit shaky. He probably should have played Ba6 to immediately put pressure on the pawn. Bd2 was better. If Ba6 then Bxa6 Nxa6 Qe2 Nb8 c4 and I can more easily maintain my center.

After g3, f5 would have been troublesome, so instead of g3 I should have played Rae1. After f5 Rxf4 exf4 Qd5+ Kh8 Re7 Rad8 Bf5 I win back the exchange.

Thanks for the comments!
