Very glad you posted this game.

After Qxd6+, Black has Kxg7 and although White is still better the difference is worth mentioning I think.

Ng7xf5 is +16.59
Qc6xd6 is +1.54 (According to Fritz9)

This is something I'm sure you would have seen normally, but with 1 minute 22 seconds it is completely understandable!

I'm giving it 5/5 for excitement. Andrewrun had a great attitude and I liked his opening.

Instead of Nc4, does Bb6 work? Idea is after rook takes then you play Nc4 and win the exchange?!? Something to check with a computer...maybe the way it played out with Nc4 first and then Bb6 is better but the other one might be more forcing. What do the engines say?

Yo X to the Z,

I thought you were right so I checked it with the computer,

After 13. Nc4 Qd8 the best move is in fact 14. Bb6

If Bb6 first, 13. Bb6 Rxb6 14. Nc4 Qc5! threatening 15... Qxf2# so Black gains a tempo to move the rook.

Great vid - I really enjoyed it. Exciting game. While I've enjoyed watching both of you play, I was pulling for you in this game JWhis as at least rating-wise you were the underdog (sorry Andrew). I thought you did a good job of working your way through the opening as it didn't appear you were too familiar with that line.

One of these days when I have more time I'll figure out how to do videos and then maybe I can challenge one of you to a dual commentary sometime.........

Thanks for the comments guys. Yeah this was a real exciting, fun game. I think Bb6 could have been played sooner as you guys may have noted. As always, amazed and thankful that someone actually watched one of my videos!

I just watched it and this was a very nice game Jwhis.

I liked black's opening up to the 9th move of Qa5+. While this allowed the capture of the e4 pawn, the queen looks out of position there. Also black's 12th move of b4 was a mistake because it allows white's knight to jump to c4 attacking the queen and driving her back to d8. Your 14th move of Bb6 was a very nice move and as you said in your video your knight on d5 is a great piece and it coordinates well with the knight on c4 and the dark square bishop. Interesting game, thanks for sharing. :)

lol I wish andrewrun would play like this against me... XD
An interesting game, I think you just blundered out of the opening... then he hung some pieces and lost :P
pretty exciting to win with no time left

Ugh, I prefer to pretend this never happened. The line with Nxe4 is just a bluff for black...

But after Be3 black needs to play Nc5 and hang on for dear life.

I still think it's awesome that you figured out the entire sveshnikov in a blitz game...
