Sorry about the interruption from the hotel maid and momentary loss of my train of thought. Sorry also about the squished perspective- apparently the last time I updated my capture software it changed some preference without me being aware- subsequent videos should be OK.

Also, I have added two positions to the endgame player related to this video. The first is an easy draw: ... %28draw%29

The next is also from the video (but with reversed colors) and the idea is to win black's knight which has foolishly become separated from his king: ... +%28win%29

You may wish to try these positions before viewing the video and if you can't do it, the solution lies within the video.

illigetimi non carborundum.

Superb video! Like you i am also improving my "endgame repertoire" and this is quite a valuable series that you're doing. Entertaining final segment about hunting down ("checkmating") the black knight-- i started to feel pity for the poor beast.

Nice to have the basic rules at the top so we can see how to follow them. One weird thing about knights is that geographic distance is deceptive... e.g., moving two squares diagonally takes 4 moves which is the same number of moves to go from b1 to g8. ANyway i thought it was a great video.
