The sound definitely gets messed up as soon as you turn on Rybka like before- 27:00

Please feel free to post a monologue with or without chess content any time:) Entertaining as hell. Make sure the next Leggo video has some politics embedded please!

Loved the Chessburger handle as well! Tough game, but I definitely like your future new opening idea with b3, etc. I've had a lot of success with that (albeit playing at a lower level). Anyway thanks for the free vids!

Nice video! As for the Opening I think there is a book by Nigel Davies, The Dynamic Reti, or something like that, even available in the chessbase format with all the possible set-ups from the Slav to the Dutch one.

I don't think the Slav really suits your style. When you wing it in these kinds of lines it leads to bad spots. And spending over a minute on 14.Bxd7+ when you could have said screw it and played it in 5 seconds? why greg why :|

"I'm totally into gay..."

:D Nice one Greg ;) Thanks for the vid.

Off topic, but interesting...I'm sure the Jews repulsed many Nazis. It's no excuse for anti-semitism. Intolorance leads to bad things, and I think nipping it in the bud by cultivating an open-minded attitude, is the best way to negate possible violence or oppression in the future. I mean, some people are allergic to peanuts but peanuts aren't illegal ;)

Back on topic, doesn't 15 Nc6 win a pawn?

If you set the "CPU Usage" field in Rybka's engine parameters to something like 75% or so it should stop the sound corruption.

I know what you mean with regard to disgust... in a sense it hinders colloboration between groups (usually disgust is associated with not identifying with such people/may lead to contempt, IMO)... both contempt/disgust, in fact, are known to be associated with hate (true "genocidal" hate, not extreme dislike... obviously, extreme dislike is probably a requisite for genocidal hate, though) ... at least from a book I read on psychology of hate a while back... a lot of what you discussed has a lot to do with topics in social psychology (I am a senior in college/just finishing up a degree in psychology with a research emphasis/then taking a few more years off to get some more research experience, then I would like to pursue a PhD in social psychology.) ... i.e. with political groups/ingroup outgroup bias... apparently there is a sub-branch of psychology dedicated to politics (my advisor on my undergraduate thesis, is involved somewhat with political psychology... aptly named though not creative)... as you may get to know, my replys tend to be lengthy (flood of ideas... this is fairly short for me, actually) .. although my thesis is not about the areas you discussed relevant to social psychology/I am not currently as well versed in those areas as I could be.

Hopefully, though, it will mainly be about chess (though I do like discussing some psychology type stuff!)

Thought-provoking b/c as you say, that kind of disgust wouldn't be mentioned in public discourse. But imo while the feces comparison does illustrate the point you are making, it might also be misleading; I don't buy that a great many ppl have a disgust towards homosexuality that belongs in the same category. Feces is something that has a distinctive smell and often contains bacteria that can make you very sick, so there may be some aversion to it from evolution, and some from toilet training and possibly even illness resulting from ingestion during infancy. These reasons aren't present when it comes to homosexuality (except, one could say, in the rare case of homosexual rape or the like, but that doesn't happen anywhere near enough to affect the mainstream). Imo, at the core of most homophobia is not strong disgust, but something much milder. For instance one might feel mildly threatened by the nature of guy-on-guy action and uncomfortable with gays' deviance from the mainstream. What makes the situation unfortunate is not so much these mild feelings of discomfort so much as what some do to alleviate the discomfort by trying to alienate homosexuals (which includes voting to deny them marriage), etc; homophobes like to affirm amongst themselves that homosexuality is "disgusting" b/c it makes them feel in the right when it comes to their feelings of mild discomfort. This is my feeling about it anyway.

I meant psychological disgust, when talking about the homosexual issue, which you alluded to (I didn't differentiate the two in my previous post/most people think it in terms physically I suppose)... obviously physical disgust more to do with feces than homosexuals... though I think in extreme cases psychological disgust could lead to physical disgust... I am not sure/don't remember if the hate based disgust was psychological or physical, though I am guessing psychological.) It is unfortunate that people use such methods as devaluing homosexuals or any other group. To compound the problem, such things are technically mentally healthy/that is also a concern of social psychologists (many of the biases people use in discrimination do contribute to mental health/more along the lines of what I am doing right now in my research... so there is the risk of potential mental health problems by reducing biases to reduce discrimination/prejudice) ... so part of the concern is still for the health of the prejudiced individuals, ironically enough/I do see that as an issue to a degree... Still, that isn't an excuse, in my book, to be a bigot/there are plenty of other methods of being mentally healthy.

your talking about people being replused by thinking of a man with another man , but yet most people find it sexy and are turned on by a girl being with another girl . Thats gay also, and also kinda hot imo :)
