From a blitz game I played last night. Please see next post for discussion of other possibilities of solving the puzzle which I think are inferior.

 Re: Maintain equality.
Now I may be mistaken but the most obvious possibility for black - Rf8, seems inferior. My reasoning is that after 1...Rf8. 2. Rc8 Bf6 3. Rac1 followed by 4. Rxf8 and 5. Rc8+, the resulting rook & knight vs knights ending seems better for white, and it looks like black will have a hard time holding onto his extra pawns. Do people agree that the given solution gives better chances for black rather than the more obvious looking Rf8 or is my analysis faulty? Hope you like the puzzle!

Your analysis looks correct. After the very pretty Nc2, I think black is even better.

Rf8?! is probably still roughly equal though. White probably won't be able to win the endgame since white's pawns are too weak, but certainly white is the one pressing for a win.

Thanks for the feedback! I also thought Nc2 was a pretty move and I was really happy to find it in a 5 minute game. That said I blundered straight afterwards due to time trouble and lost. ;)

Btw, do these puzzles get entered into the Daily Puzzle rotation or is that something seperate?

Cheers!
