 Re: biikes trainig journal
recently ive been having this really bad problem where once i would win a pawn or two or once i had a completely dominating position my mind would just stop paying attention to the game and i would immidiately blunder 5 times in a row and lose.i lost my last 9 games in a row on fics (all blitz) because of this and had some really stupid losses on icc (15 minute games) because of this.at least im getting crushing positions and m winning material.i know i wouldnt do something like this in a tournament but id still like to fix this problem quickly.also i now have 32000 tries on chess tactics server.my rating there went down a bit today but for the past week ive been showing real improvement .guess ive got to stop doing tactics problems at 3 in the morning.

Kotov's think like a grand master has a whole chapter about blundering when you're ahead. it's called dizziness due to success.

you should read it. basically, he says you have to bear down and continue looking for the best moves, even when you're ahead.

they book has several entertaining examples.

'think like a grandmaster' is also a strong middle game book.

so i played my first game of "diplomacy"recently in order to help my freind prepare for the wbc (world boardgaming championships) .long story short alexs brain hurts ):.that is what i would consider mental torture.it took upwards of 8 hours and involved a lot of negioating and stabing in the back.chess seems easy to me compared to that game.

its like 10000 degrees here rite now so i cant really play chess online for very long before the computer gives out on me.its affecting my abillity to play but i can still go to chess club every tuesday.ive been playing go everyday now for a few days and im up to about 220 games so far.you see the thing is i have a very low rating on one of my profiles and a very high rating on a different profile so ive promised myself not to play on the high rated profile until im actually that good.im going to see batman the dark knight sometime this week the problem is my freinds are being annoying about which day they want to go on so if we dont go by friday im going on saturday no matter what.
